While checking on raptor nests today, we came upon good numbers of "road
birds". No hawks were found on nests today, as there was snow (quite deep) in
all of them.
To date, we've only had 2 RTHAs actually sitting ON nests.
Road bird list per county:
CLARKE:
HORNED LARK - 20+
A. PIPIT - 6
FREDERICK:
SNIPE - 2
A. PIPIT - 2
RUSTY BLACKBIRD - 6-8 with flock of Red-winged BB
MANY 1000's OF ROBINS - EVERYWHERE!! - but especially along roads where the
edge was melting.
