I took a late afternoon drive to Dutch Gap Conservation Area in Chesterfield
yesterday afternoon to look for Wood ducks. I did not see any, but there were a
few other sights that made the trip well worth the drive.

I heard lots of Prothonotary Warblers, Red-eyed Vireos, Blue-grey Gnatcatchers
and Red-winged Blackbirds.

I saw the following:

1 Immature Bald Eagle
2 Ospreys hunting together
Tree swallows
1 Great Blue Heron
2 Mockingbirds
19 Canada Geese (including 15 Goslings)
4 Brown Thrashers
3 Red-winged Blackbirds
1 eastern Bluebird
1 Indigo Bunting
