Hello all
This morning I dropped by to check on the Purple Gallinule & it is still
there in the little pool behind the big Willow Tree . I can not give you a
time of day when the Gallinule shows up . I have seen it morning ,noon &
evening . Today I saw the bird around 10:30 . Now on another note .
When I got there I saw that someone had made a path thru the weeds down to
the waters edge . Also the grasses that were mashed down at the waters edge
is one of the birds hiding places . I know that a lot of people use this
trail along the South River but there is no telling who did it . . All I am
asking is that no birder nor photo taking take place beyond the mowed area
. Please everyone stay in the mowed area . I know that a lot of people are
coming a distance to see this bird & I do not want them to go home without
seeing it . To some it is a life bird to others a year or Virginia bird .
There is no need for anyone to give feed back on this subject , simple lets
all follow the rules set by birding ethics . Good luck to all who sees the
Gallinule & please post that you have seen it .
