Hello Birders,
Thanks to all who joined Richmond Audubon Society today at Curles Neck, a
private property which RAS had permission to visit.
Mild November weather made for a pleasant day out in the field. Highlights
included Barn Owl, a late Pectoral Sandpiper, 22 Least Sandpiper, 14
Dunlin, great views of Bald Eagle and Northern Harrier, and of course the
spectacle of 1000s of geese and ducks, with at least 1 Cackling and Ross's
Goose.
There were also butterflies out including a single Monarch, Clouded
Sulphurs, and Cabbage White.
