This morning a nice male Rose-breasted Grosbeak came to my feeders and hung
around for a good long while. A Brown-headed Nuthatch made a brief
appearance. Then a thrush showed up in the dogwood. It had a distinctive
buff eye-ring, spotty breast but very light belly - almost white. I'm
guessing it to be a Swainson's. Wish I knew for sure.
