In between our nights of owl banding, we ventured up into Shenandoah NP. At
Jeremy's Run Overlook we saw a small group of finch like birds flying down
the ridge and landing in a pine just south of the overlook. We had just
enough time to get a scope on them and found 7 Red Crossbills.
