VA BIRDers,
There is a juvenile plumaged Red-necked Phalarope off the north side picnic
area at Dyke Marsh, last seen at about 615pm. Go to the north side (second)
parking lot in the picnic area, park in the first spot you see and walk out
to the river. The bird was on the SAV (submerged aquatic vegetation) mats
about 75 yds out. There were numerous Lesser Yellowlegs on the SAV, too.
