On Dec. 15, someone dumped a deer carcass just down the road from my
driveway. Yesterday morning as I returned home in my car, a Red-shouldered
Hawk
was feeding on it with 5 crows. As the hawk flew away across the road
right in front of me, I got a wonderful look at a beautiful adult bird.
I had been disgusted when I had first seen that carcass by the road, but
getting such a good look at the hawk was nice and seeing it feeding on a dead
animal was interesting.
Sincerely,
Marlene
