I scoped out on the Atlantic ocean from Back Bay NWR, from the trail to the
beach from the Visitor Center and a saw a basic plumaged Red-throated Loon.
Along the beach there were a couple White-rumped Sandpipers as well as
Sanderlings. Kind of hoping for more shorebirds and herons and egrets
around Virginia Beach, is there a spot this time of year for those birds,
that doesn't involved a long hike.
