Richmond Audubon Society, Richmond VA
Oct 10, Monday, 6:50 - 8PM, "Rainforest conservation: practical approaches from Chucanti, a cloud forest in Panama", presented by Guido Berguido. He is a phenomenal person with a wealth of experience and information to share about the birds of Panama and a personal project of his in a part of Panama named Chucanti. It is a moving tribute on the power of just 1 or 2 people to make a difference in the world of conservation.

Guido C. Berguido is native to Panama City, Panama. He has a degree in Biology from the University of Panama and is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) in the USA. For more than 15 years, he has lead nature and birdwatching tours for the most important tour operators of the region and has been committed with environmental education and conservation activities with the Smithsonian Institution and the Panama Audubon Society. Moreover he has been instrumental in the creation of the Chucanti Private Nature Reserve in one of Panamas most critical Important Bird Areas.

Please join us at VCU, Room 112 in the 500 AC building (aka:, the old Ukrops). It is at the corner of Harrison and Broad and here is a link: http://www.maps.vcu.edu/monroepark/500nharrison/
