Hey all, back home again (Fall Break) and I walked the portion of the Noland
Trail in Newport News from the Lion's Bridge to the Mariner's Museum. I was
joined by Lee Bristow for the first part of my walk. Highlights included brief
but satisfying looks at a Nashville Warbler (this ind. had somewhere to go) and
a cooperative and relatively bright Blackburnian Warbler. Also had 3 Blackpoll
Warblers.
Winter arrivals included 1 Pied-billed Grebe, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 3
Golden-crowned Kinglets, and Yellow-rumpeds back in force. A list of warblers
and vireos encountered is below.
