Weather:
A chilly start with NW wind shifting to WNW and then more westerly by
midday. Lots of blue sky with increasing clouds by late morning and then
clearing.
Raptor Observations:
A few birds early giving hope to a decent flight. By 11am it had come to a
screeching halt. Things picked up a bit after noon but not by much. Bald
Eagle count continues to grow for the season with 3 more for the day
(adult:1-12:52; 1-2:25; imm:2:37). A northbound adult BAEA at 12:54 not
counted.
Non-raptor Observations:
A flock of 6 gadwall heading east. Several small groups of Cedar Waxwing
back and forth in the morning not counted; afternoon groups totaling 50.
