Weather:
Very strong west winds all day (25-31 mph steady with greater gusts)!
Chilly 7.6-10.0C temps. A few clouds (20%) early, becoming mostly just
clear blue skies. Very clear visibility all the way to the Allegheny
Mountains to the west.
Raptor Observations:
Slow but constant procession of raptors. Most were fighting the winds as
they tried to make their way up the ridgeline before speeding southward
across the gap. Seven Bald Eagles comprised of a 9:50am adult, an 11:50am
family of 4 (2 adult, 2 immature with the two young ones clashing as kids
do), a 12:48pm adult and 2:44pm adult. One adult Golden Eagle flew down the
west side of the mountain at 12:28pm.
Non-raptor Observations:
Predictions:
Chillier but sunny with 10-15mph W winds.
