Weather:
Very nice day. Cool 11.1-18.8C temps. Strong W winds through noon, then
mild W winds thereafter. Partly to mostly cloudy with nice clouds.
Unusually clear with 30km visibility.
Raptor Observations:
A good, constant flight throughout the day with 50 of the 88 raptors
observed between 8-11am. Adult Golden Eagle at 2:41pm flew through right
over our heads. 10 Bald Eagles: 8:38 1-YR, 8:55 AD, 9:05 AD, 9:45 4-YR,
10:55 AD, 11:48 1-YR, 12:33 1-YR, 1:42 1-YR, 2:10 4-YR, 2:46 AD.
Non-raptor Observations:
A big flight of 431 Northern Flicker (usually flying in groups of 5-15).
Mixed in with the flickers were 26 Red-bellied Woodpecker, 5 Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 4 Chimney Swift, 179 Tree Swallow, 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch.
