Weather:
Chilly with 7.0-11.5C temps. Mostly cloudy in first hour then mostly sunny
thereafter. Severe W winds through noon (scopes needed to be weighed down)
diminishing thereafter. Clear visibility.
Raptor Observations:
Another immature Northern Goshawk flew by at 9:35am, but this one flew in
low and close overhead (probably the closest raptor of the day actually)!
Seven Bald Eagles: 7:30 2YR, 8:08 AD, 8:55 AD, 9:02 1YR, 9:16 2YR, and 2
adults at 10:23. Most birds did not fight the wind long. They usually
appeared higher up over the ridge to the north and then just kept getting
higher before steaming by fast!
Non-raptor Observations:
2 Monarchs, 1 late Chimney Swift, 5 Tree Swallow, 2 Red-breasted Nuthatch,
7 Raven.
