Weather:
Strong NW winds all day, but no clouds. 10.6-20.6C temps. Clear visibility.
Raptor Observations:
Five Bald Eagles: An adult with 2nd-YR at 8:34, two adults at 9:45, adult
at 11:10. No raptors at all in the final four hours of the day except for
an immature Peregrine Falcon that appeared out of nowhere low to the left
side of ridge and proceeded to fly through the gap to our SE below eye
level! During the 12-1pm hour there were literally no birds observed in the
sky (no raptors and no vultures!). First bird 6:50 Osprey, last bird 2:10
Peregrine.
Non-raptor Observations:
14 Monarchs. 63 Chimney Swift, 1 Red-headed Woodpecker, 18 Flicker, 53 Blue
Jay, 3 Raven, 25 Tree Swallow.
