Almost immediately after replenishing the black oil sunflower seeds in
my feeder this morning a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak came in for a
snack. He then thanked me by singing beatifully from my nearby tree.
Also present was a Blackpoll Warbler (not at the feeder). This is the
second year in a row I have had the RB Grosbeaks at my feeder. Last year
there were 3 on April 30 and one of them stayed 8 days. I live in the
Stoneybrooke neighborhood off S. Kings Highway, very near Huntley
Meadows.
