Richard Davis just called me from the field to report that for the third
year in a row an anhinga is to be found at Betts Pond, Rt.637 (Betts Pond
Road), not too far from Heathsville in central Northumberland County,
Northern Neck. The single bird was seen sunning with wings spread on the
right side of the pond as seen from the road, at around 8:15 this morning.
He got some photos and will submit a report soon.
