When I went into the kitchen to kiss my wife goodbye for the day, I looked out
of our front window to see 3 male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks at our feeder. She
told me she thought she might have to call the paramedics because I was so
excited. I live within a half mile of Huntley Meadows Park. They stayed on the
feeder for some through the window pictures. They were still hanging around and
singing when I got home from work at 4 p.m. and I got a few better pix
outdoors. They were still here around 6:50 p.m. when I came down to my
computer. What an unexpected treat! If they are still here at breakfast
tomorrow I will post again and you can e-mail me for my address if you want to
come and see them.
