I arrived at the Swallow-tailed Kite spot near Gladys in Campbell Co around 3
PM today and found Larry Meade already on post and watching the 2 kites. Larry
said that they had been actively feeding on both side of the field for over an
hour. For the next 30 min we continued to enjoy great looks. Around 3:35, the
kites started drifting south over the tree line towards Long Island and by 4 PM
they were completely out of sight. Dave Dawson came by around 3:45. Thanks to
Dave for reporting these birds and for keeping a check on them. Got some
killer shots of the kites and even managed to get one of them both soaring
together! Cheers, Mike Michael R. BoatwrightAmherst, Co
