There should be still a couple of weeks of saw-whet owl migration to come
but we have already banded 184 saw-whets far exceeding our previous high
of 150 birds in a season. The number of first-year birds is quite high
which is encouraging. We have also recaptured about 14 birds that were
banded at other stations. Add to that two screech-owls, a Barred Owl, and
a woodcock and you have a busy but exciting season.
