Hi,
All are welcome to attend the bird walk at Sky Meadows State Park
this Sunday, August 7 at 9am. Meet behind the Mt. Bleak House. Walk
will last approx. 2 hours and will cover up to 2 miles on flat or
sloping terrain. Bring water and binoculars.
As the breeding season winds down, birds search for abundant food and many
species begin to flock. Let's see what we can find. Depending on the exact
route, we
may see or hear up to 6 species of woodpeckers including Red-headed, also
Bluebird, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Eastern Meadowlark and other
birds.
