[Va-bird] Sockoe Bottom, Purple Martins.

Jan Frye Johnson counted 6,000 Purple Martins on Friday, July 1, 2011, at 
Shockoe Bottom, Richmond, Va.  This is a high count for so early in the season.

Some of us will go Sunday evening, July 3rd. Meet at 8 pm on the west side of 
the Pear Trees and on Sunday, parking is usually easy. Bring a lawn chair, 
binocs, hat and water. Plan to sit and watch for about 30 minutes.
