Today I didn't have any time to go birdwatching for any birds the storm
brought in, so what time I did have I spent looking at the retention ponds
in my neighborhood and across the street at Hope Hills Crossing. I prayed to
see sandpipers and just as I was heading home I saw a Solitary Sandpiper in
the last retention pond I checked; ironically at the entrance to Hope Hills.
I did see a few Ring-billed Gulls.
And at 7 am I had about 11 hummingbirds at my feeder, 3 adult males and
about 8 females/immatures; and that was because my neighbor's had their
feeders down.
