A couple of brief announcements for folks who might be planning to participate
in Sunday's ASNV-sponsored bird walk on Theodore Roosevelt Island:
- The route likely will not include the Swamp Trail; as of 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, the Potomac - which had not yet crested - was starting to creep over
the elevated boardwalk. The island offers other good birding trails though.
- Restrooms on the island are closed, and no port-a-johns are available.
Drinking fountains may or may not be operational.

Meet-up location is in the parking lot in front of the footbridge . . . before
crossing over onto the island.
