Hey all,
Today some members of the Blue Ridge Young Birders Club visited
Mill Creek Lake looking for the Little Blue Herons reported earlier today.
Sadly we did not get the LBHE's but we saw 4 distant birds out on the
water. Three were Black Terns and above them was a Common Tern that was
confirmed only when it landed and showed its distinctive black carpal bar.
Baxter, Tucker, Max, Ezra, and I were very excited to see this bird as it
is most likely a county record.
