A morning visit to Twin Lakes State Park in Prince Edward County yielded
the following species: Red-shouldered Hawk, Osprey, Yellow-billed
Cuckoo, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker,
Pileated Woodpecker, Eastern Wood-pewee, Blue Jay, Tufted Titmouse,
Carolina Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher,
American Robin, Cedar Waxwing, Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow-throated Vireo,
Northern Parula, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Pine Warbler, Black and White
Warbler and Chipping Sparrow. In the reptile department, a juvenile
Eastern Hognose Snake was encountered on a gravel road.
