Years ago, Upton Hill Regional Park (on Wilson Blvd and Patrick Henry Sts in
Arlington) wasa fine spot for migrants to drop in as one of the high spots with
tall trees and underbrush. In recent years, with mini-golf, a batting cage etc
and clearing of the underbrush, it has not been a hot spot. Today, in a bid for
nostalgia, I found 13 species of warblers this am and lots OFothers like Wood
peewee, Indigo bunting and RUBYTHROATED HUMMINGBIRD. Warblers:PARULA,
MAGNOLIA, YELLOW, CHESNUT-SIDED, BLACK-THROATED BLUE, YELLOW-RUMPED, COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT, PALM, BLACKPOLL, BLACK AND WHITE, REDSTART, WORM-EATING,
OVENBIRD.
