[Va-bird] VA Beach - Lynnhaven River Jul 25 2011

From kayaks on the Lynnhaven River (launched at Crab Creek at the base of the
Lesner Bridge) on Jul 25 (7:00 - 10:30am) - the following were seen:
Brown Pelican
Double-crested Cormorant
Least Bittern (1 Adult Male)
Great Blue Heron
Great Egret
Snowy Egret
Tricolored Heron (1 Juvenile and 1 Adult)
Green Heron
Yellow-crowned Night Heron (at least 6 Adults and 3 Juveniles)
Canada Goose
Osprey
Clapper Rail
Semipalmated Plover
Killdeer
American Oystercatcher
Yellowlegs species
Ruddy Turnstone
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Laughing Gull
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
Caspian Tern
Royal Tern
Sandwich Tern
Common Tern
Forster's Tern
Least Tern
Black Skimmer
Mourning Dove
Rock Dove
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (3 birds in combat over the marsh)
Eastern Kingbird
Fish Crow
Purple Martin

Also - 2 Moon Snails and a good size Hermit Crab.
