I didn't have Fox Sparrows at the feeder today, but I did have a Fox. Camped
out behind the bushes, hoping for a meal.
Towhees, grackles, and a few red winged blackbirds joined the usual assortment.

26 cowbirds and 16 Ring-billed gulls along with the usual suspects in the 2

We too just had our first Fox Sparrow int he yard. I do not see them that
often here north of Leesburg in the winter. Perhaps a handful of
observations in the past 4-5 seasons.

We have not had any Fox Sparrows this winter at our Annandale feeders like
we usually do, but a single bird showed up a few days ago. I assumed it
was
moving north. The snow may have stopped some northbound movement. There
are
at least 3 present now.
