All, 

 

Birded Highand County today. Stopped at the following places in order as 
listed: Breastworks, Genseng Mountain Road, Margaret Obryans, Little 
Switzerland Loop, Laurel Fork road 642 to Allegheny road.

Top birds were Golden-winged Warblers at Margarets place on Wimer Lane on the 
Highland County Pendelton County line. Last year I saw mainly hybrids but today 
most were GW only one out 5 seen was a Brewster's. At the Beaver pond on 642 
near the abandoned house there was a White Belly BE seen at 12:46. A Chat was 
singing but despite waiting patiently I could not get a sighting. However, 
while unsuccessfully waiting for the Chat a Canada Warbler showed which was a 
FOY for me. Lots of Least Flycatchers today at several locations with  the 
highest numbers on Allegheny road.
