I was also at Leesylvania this AM, and ran into NVBC group off-and-on. I saw a
different Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (Beaver Pond) than those the group saw.
Species that I saw to add to Marc's list are:
Great Egret (outside the park in Neabsco Creek as I departed)
Eastern Phoebe
Yellow-throated Vireo
Purple Martin (Adult male)
Nashville Warbler (1-2)
Bay-breasted Warbler (male,1)
Mourning Warbler (1, flat area above upper Beaver Pond ~11:30 AM)

Subject: [Va-bird] Leesylvania State Park, yellow-bellied flycatcher,
rose-breasted grosbeak, migrants
The Northern Virginia Bird Club visited Leesylvania State Park this morning
and had great morning with 70 species, inlcuding pre-start time sightings.
Highlights were 2 yellow-bellied flycatchers, least flycatcher,
rose-breasted grosbeak (5), red-headed woodpecker, Swainson's thrush, veery,
summer tanager, and 14 species of warbler. We ran into some nice flocks,
espcially on the hill above the ruins and on the boardwalk. The list is
below. Some additional birds seen by members of the party before the trip
started include acadian flycatcher, bay-breasted warbler, and Nashville
warbler.
