Back in the early 90ies Kentucky Warbler was fairly regular at Potomac
Overlook. If we ever get the No. VA. Bird Club records entered into ebird
It would show a real decline in the number of migrants, both passage and
breeders. Joanna

Hello birders.
I paid a visit to Potomac Overlook today. It was may first time there in
years. American Redstart, Blackpoll Warbler and Swainson's Thrush were
migrants that I observed. Perhaps more notable was a singing Kentucky
Warbler. It was located near the edge of the woods near the stage. It
seemed like a significant sighting for a location inside the Beltway.
Perhaps it's late enough so that this bird will attempt to breed? I checked
ebird and surprisingly it shows no prior record of the species in Arlington,
for what its worth.
