A quick trip out to Leonard's Pond today found the following Shorebirds :
Solitary Sandpiper -5
Spotted Sandpiper -1 actually seen at pond across from Leonards and a
little West.
Lesser Yellowlegs-1
Pectoral -1
Least -2
Killdeer-10 ~
Latter on I tried a pond that I had noticed on the Raptor survey I did
earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised. This pond is on Western View
road which intersects with South Whitesel Church road which is the same road
as the Green Valley Books Auction place. This pond had some very nice
mudflats and myriads of water beetles .....

A single Red-headed Woodpecker was spotted twice in the top of a dead tree
looking east across a field along a row of Sycamores and a power line when
parked at the intersection of Western View and South Whitesel church road.
