I've been trying to grow mealworms for a couple months. I used a cup from
the bird food store, they went through the pupua stage and are all now
beetles. I've got three boxes (with corn and oatmeal as food, and have been
using carrot, apple and lettuce every so often for moisture). However, I
don't get any babies! I can tell they're trying. I can't help but wonder if
the beetles are too crowded, and/or if the beetles are eating the eggs
and/or larvae before they turn into the worms.
