I was at Cockpit Pt. Rd. early this morning. The birding was not as exciting
as yesterday, but there were some good birds about. Highlights were an
actively feeding yellow-bellied flycatcher and 3 veeries in a tupelo tree with
a wood thrush and a flock of robins, feeding on the fruit. Also seen were
summer tanager, baltimore oriole, acadian flycatcher, white-eyed vireo,
chestnut-sided, magnolia, hooded, and worm-eating warblers, northern parula,
American redstart, and common yellowthroat.
