This morning there were 2 Vesper Sparrows feeding on the gravel path
at Bles Park in Ashburn. They were among a group of Song Sparrows.
This is the first time I've seen them in this park. Other birds of
interest included a handful of Swamp Sparrows, about a dozen Wilson's
Snipe, along with an increase in Eastern Phoebes. Eastern Bluebirds
and Tree Swallows were fighting over nest boxes. Plenty of Spring
Peepers and American Toads were calling as well.
