Several birders -- Mike Iwanik, Vickie Gullet, Allen Bryan, Leigh Surdukowski,
Teresa Shaner -- are at the Old Trail golf course pond in western Albemarle
searching for the Violet-green Swallow discovered there yesterday.
They report that the Tree Swallows have mostly stayed perched in a tree
alongside the pond, flying out over the pond only infrequently (just twice so
far).
The Violet-green has NOT been seen.
The Charlottesville area rec'd only about an inch of snow, and the roads are
clear.
We'll post additional updates as quickly as possible, of course, if the
Violet-green is seen.
