I birded both Saturday and Sunday a.m. in the City of Hopewell and e. Henrico
County. Warblers continue to linger and sparrows have defintely made an
incursion. Ten species of warbler were observed over the weekend including many
Blackpolls (in the teens both days), several N. Parula (both days), 5 Tennessee
Warblers (Saturday only), several Cape Mays (both days), 1 Orange-crowned, and
an A. Redstart today. The most unusual sparrow observed over the weekend was a
Lincoln's in e. Henrico County.
Enjoy each day,
