With all the reports around the area of White Ibis, I was wondering when
they would finally show up at Staunton River. Today was the day. 1
immature White Ibis and 1 immature Little Blue Heron were mixed in with the
many Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons. A fair number of shorebirds were
scattered around the area. I couldn't pick out anything unusual, and all
the peeps stayed a bit too far away for me to identify.
Other notables were a group of 6 Red-shouldered Hawks, a Black Duck mixed in
with a flock of Mallards, and surprisingly 4 warblers including a juvenile
Prothonatary being tended by it's parents.
