Good morning Va-birds,
I managed to post a quick message yesterday (10/6), regarding the American
White Pelican on Swans Cove ( I had to borrow a beach patrons phone!). I
have not heard if it's there today and I have headed down to Cape Charles
for the Festival. Here's a little more of the sighting and the rest of my
quick blitz of the refuge. Very little time spent time looking for
songbirds.

Comments: Quick sprint through the park on motorcycle. Stops along the
road to the beach, and many stops on the driving wildlife loop. Not much
experience birding here, so more time and a strategy (tides, sunlight) would
be smart next time.
