I finally got my state White-faced Ibis this afternoon at Ramp Pond at Eastern
Shore of Va NWR in Northampton County. Actually, I almost blew it since I
first saw the bird around 7:30 this morning and passed it off as a Glossy Ibis.
When I stopped by the pond again in the afternoon, the bird landed within 20
ft. of me and its red eye and pink facial skin were readily apparent. On both
occasions when I saw it, it was hanging out with an immature White Ibis.
