White-faced Ibis were still present at Lake Mattamuskeet NWR. Feeding with the
Glossys, moving around the wetlands north of the Wildlife Drive just off the
causeway (between Wildlife Dr. and the entrance road to the Refuge). I am
pretty sure there were two, but I might have looked at the same one in
different spots (they kept "re-shuffling" themselves).
It takes a bit of patience and good light to find the pink lores and the red
eyes. In the photos the redness of the legs show better.
