I went to Todd Dixon's house shortly after 9am and the bird showed up in a
few minutes. The last time I got a brief peek in the holly bushes behind
the fence and didn't bother posting it, but this time the bird was sitting
in sunlight for 5 or 10 minutes until it briefly went to the feeder on the
left. It stayed behind the feeder until something flushed it. I left by
9:28. The accipiter I saw last time was around again, so I didn't try for a
second look. When the crossbill flushed it flew over the covered space with
the chairs toward the house next door. I heard song on my way to the car,
and when I checked online it was the crossbill. Thank you Todd and family
for letting people visit!
