The Wilson's Phalarope has moved to the pond on Oakwood near intersection of
route 11 and Oakwood (704). This is near Bridgewater. The pond is on private
land and the area is posted. It is okay to park near the abandoned chicken
house, however, do not enter the pasture for any reason. There are cattle there
and sometimes there is a bull. Please do not enter the chicken house or the
fields. The farmer has been very reasonable so far but that could change. The
pond is fairly distant and one would do well to bring a scope. Lighting is bad
in evening and good in the morning. White-rumped Sandpipers were also present
at this pond this evening...... along with Pectoral Least, Lesser Yellowlegs,
Solitary, and Spotted.
