I walked this morning from Americana Park (NE corner of Wakefield Park),
along Accotink Stream Valley park as far as Eakin Park, all in Annandale,
Fairfax County. Very lively. Stand-outs were a male Wilson's Warbler, a
slightly
late male Magnolia Warbler and a substantially late female Black-throated Green
Warbler. The avian scene was dominated, however, by the large number of
Swainson's Thrushes and abundant Blackpolls.
Also in the 'slightly late' category was a female Black-throated Blue
Warbler yesterday, at my garden pond.
