I visited Wolftrap National Park this morning. The only surprise was 6
American Black Ducks in the old beaver pond in the back. There were many
many Dark-eyed Juncos present, with about 10% females which seems higher
than the normal resident winter population. There was a Fox Sparrow in with
the DEJU near the Filene Center. Other species present in significant
numbers included Song and White-throated Sparrows, and Eastern Bluebirds.
