The immature Wood Stork found 12/26 at the Wash Woods of False Cape State Park
and seen 12/27 at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge near the headquarters was
found freshly dead 12/29 in the state park by park personnel and is now in the
freezer at the residence of park ranger Cameron! I think this might represent
a first Virginia specimen. Perhaps someone with museum connections could
arrange to have the bird shipped from the park and prepared?
