Went out around 4 P.M. to the nearby woods once the rain let up to a light
drizzle. Lots of singing, including Towhees, White Throats, and Flickers.
Ruby Crowns and Hermit Thrushes continue in great numbers, though mostly
quiet. I spotted my FOS Wood Thrush when I went up the stairs in the middle
of the words (south of the stream, between Barton and Edgewood). I called
as I approached, but no singing yet. I checked the stream for
Waterthrushes, but no luck, probably because of the high water levels due to
the rain.
