We checked a spot in Shenandoah Co. today where we had YB CHATs last year
and found 2 males that appeared to be establishing territory. Also at the
same spot, there were 4-6 singing PRAIRIE WARBLERs, as well as a singing
WHITE-EYED VIREO. For such a small area (logged, and now 2nd growth Hunt
Club owned habitat), it's a got a very nice diversity of birds.
Along the same road, we later found a singing BLUE-HEADED VIREO as well as a
YELLOW-THROATED VIREO; so along with the expected Red-eyed, a 4 Vireo day is
always a treat (I guess for those darned Bell's, I'll have to go back to
MN).
